Paragon’s ECM practice has joined forces with fme AG, a Germany-based software vendor, to successfully package Paragon’s consolidation and migration solutions with fme’s migration-center, a Designed for EMC certified product that enables the migration of 100% of documents into an EMC Documentum repository. When implementing an enterprise content management system such as EMC’s Documentum, hundreds of thousands of documents must be transferred from source repositories to the new software. In many cases this content is unstructured, and mapping it to the new repository structure and attribute model is a challenge. The migration-center tool not only effectively migrates documents to a new enterprise content management system; it maps documents to the new information architecture, providing full accuracy, availability and audit capability within the new system. Migration-center also provides automatic, relatively “over-night” migration, reducing the need for extra programming costs or additional resource requirements.
