Cranford, NJ – January 13, 2012 – Paragon Solutions, an advisory consulting and systems integration firm, recently won a large Microsoft SharePoint migration project with a global pharmaceutical company. The engagement will involve the migration of multiple terabytes of data from the company’s current Microsoft SharePoint 2007 platform to an upgraded Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platform that will include multiple SharePoint server farms, and over 45,000 SharePoint sites.

Led by Paragon’s Life Sciences Collaboration and Knowledge Management Practice, the engagement will consist of four phases: analysis, scheduling, migration execution and support. The large company-wide project was commissioned in an effort to upgrade the older Microsoft SharePoint 2007 server technology to the newer Microsoft SharePoint 2010 server in order to take advantage of new capabilities to enhance collaboration, document management and knowledge sharing within the client organization.

The global pharmaceutical company engaged Paragon to take on the task of migrating multiple terabytes of data while keeping the integrity and security of the information intact and the business still running.

“The decision to choose Paragon came down to two key factors: our Migration Center of Excellence’s depth of experience associated with large, complex migrations; and our use of innovated tools and repeatable methodologies to reduce risk“, said Ravi Shankar, Senior Vice President.

Paragon will apply its expertise in establishing and governing enterprise-wide SharePoint 2010 solutions. The Paragon team will also employ its Strategy Roadmap methodology to define the implementation timing and approach, as well as its migration methodologies and toolsets for this project.
